US Airways passenger numbers down 6.3% - consolidated traffic highlights in Jul-2009:
- Passenger numbers: 5.4 million, -6.3% year-on-year;
- Mainline: 4.7 million, -7.6%;
- Express: 756,790, +2.9%;
- Domestic: 4.8 million, -7.1%;
- Trans-Atlantic: 296,303, +13.0%;
- Latin America: 295,484, -9.2%;
- Load factor: 85.9%, +1.3 ppt;
- Mainline: 86.4%, +1.3 ppt;
- Express: 73.1%, +2.1 ppts;
- Domestic: 86.7%, +2.2 ppts;
- Trans-Atlantic: 83.4%, -1.3 ppt;
- Latin America: 84.6%, -0.8 ppt.
US Airways: "Our July consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) decreased approximately 15% versus the same period last year, while total revenue per available seat mile decreased approximately 12% on a year-over-year basis.
