UPS orders 14 747-8Fs with 14 options

UPS ordered (27-Oct-2016) 14 Boeing 747-8F aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2017 and 2020. The agreement includes options for an additional 14 aircraft. The carrier will use the aircraft to commence "a cascade of aircraft route reassignments" to add significant capacity in high demand markets. UPS chairman and CEO David Abney said, "These investments will help enable customers to expand their presence in new and existing markets while fueling our profitable growth."
