UNWTO reports 7% rise in international arrivals

World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) reports (29-Jun-2010) international tourist arrivals rose 7% year-on-year to 258 million for the four months ended Apr-2010. [more]

UNWTO: "While April's results were affected by the week-long closure of European airspace, globally the pace of recovery is faster than initially expected, driven largely by emerging markets. For the full year 2010, UNWTO forecasts international tourist arrivals to grow by 3% to 4%," Source: UNWTO statement, 29-Jun-2010.
