United Airlines planned to begin testing Starlink inflight connectivity in February 2025, with initial commercial flights using Embraer E175 equipment by spring 2025. The airline aimed to deploy Starlink across its entire two-cabin regional fleet by year-end, with mainline aircraft integration also scheduled by the end of the year1. United partnered with SpaceX, announcing plans to offer free high-speed internet on its mainline and regional aircraft2.
