Doncaster Sheffield Airport previously passed the first two stages of its airspace change process, progressing to stage three with stakeholder engagement and consultation in summer 2026, targeting a positive decision in spring 2027.1 City of Doncaster Council also approved a GBP57 million public loan to restart the airport programme under FlyDoncaster’s 125-year lease, after the last commercial service operated in Nov-2022.2
