Turkish Airlines and Aeroflot hold discussions over launching new JV carreir

Turkish Transport Ministry announced Turkish Airlines and Aeroflot have held discussions regarding the launch of a new JV carrier (Reuters, 22-Jan-2010). The carriers have not disclosed ownership or fleet plans, but Turkish media reports that the carrier could be 50:50 owned and would use Sukhoi regional jets on routes initially between Turkey and Russia.
