Hobart Airport opened a new arrivals area with an 85m U-belt baggage carousel and outdoor forecourt, marking a milestone in its AUD200 million terminal expansion that was about two-thirds complete, according to CEO Norris Carter.1 Hobart Airport also opened two new departure gates and flagged a temporary closure of the current departures area as construction continued, with interim gates, extra seating and new F&B/retail to be rolled out.2
