Tokyo Haneda passengers down 7% in 2009

Japan's Tokyo Civil Aviation Bureau reports (01-Mar-2010) the following traffic highlights for its member airports in 2009:

  • Passenger numbers: 121.4 million, -6.6% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 89.2 million, -7.5%;
    • International: 32.2 million. -3.8%;
  • Cargo volume: 2.8 million tonnes, -10.5%;
    • Tokyo Haneda Airport:
      • Passenger numbers: 61.9 million, -7.2%;
        • Domestic: 59.3 million, -7.9%;
        • International: 2.6 million, +9.9%;
      • Cargo volume: 721,474 tonnes, -6.6%;
    • New Chitose Airport:
      • Passenger numbers: 16.5 million, -6.3%;
        • Domestic: 15.7 million, -6.6%;
        • International: 795,054, stable;
      • Cargo volume: 224,009 tonnes, -8.8%.
