Tobolsk Airport to commence operations in 2021

Tyumen Oblast announced (09-Sep-2020) plans to launch Tobolsk Airport operations in 2021. Runway, taxiway and apron construction work, and the installation of navigation, lighting and meteorological systems was completed at the airport. Phase two work covers the construction of the terminal and other buildings, and is 11% complete. The airport's 2400m runway will allow handling of A321, Boeing 737-800, Sukhoi SuperJet 100, Tupolev Tu-204 and Tu-214 aircraft. [more - original PR - Russian]
