Thai Airways to receive one A350 in 4Q2016, retrofit 15 aircraft

Thai Airways stated (17-Nov-2016) it expects to receive one A350-900 aircraft in 4Q2016. The airline also approved retrofit programmes for three A330s, six Boeing 777-200ERs and six 787-8s. The carrier plans to add 565 cabin crew to support growth and will continue its MRO project at Utapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport. The airline reported some softness in regional routes, particularly China, and said a balance sheet restructuring is underway. [more - original PR]
