TAV Tunisia amends concession fees and restructure concessions for Monastir and Enfidha airports

TAV Airports reported (06-Nov-2019) TAV Tunisia and the government of Tunisia signed an amendment to the concession agreement governing the operation of Monastir and Enfidha airports. The amendment reduces the past and present concession fees of TAV Tunisia and restructures the historical concession fees payable and the future concession fee calculation schedule. Details of the concession restructuring include:

  • Concession fee schedule:
    • New concession fee multiplier:
      • Under four million passengers: 35%;
      • Four million to five million passengers: 75%;
      • Five million to 7.5 million passengers: 125%;
      • Greater than 7.5 million passengers: 150%;
    • New concession fee percentage:
      • 2019:
        • Under four million passengers: 5.1%;
        • Four million to five million passengers: 11.0%;
        • Five million to 7.5 million passengers: 18.3%;
        • Greater than 7.5 million passengers: 21.9%;
      • 2047:
        • Under four million passengers: 9.1%;
        • Four million to five million passengers: 19.5%;
        • Five million to 7.5 million passengers: 32.5%;
        • Greater than 7.5 million passengers: 39.0%;
  • Historical concession fees payable to the Tunisian Authority will be paid at EUR1.2 million p/a until 2047;
