SWISS reportedly may be split into two units, one covering long-haul operations and the other short-haul operations, according to newswire reports. The short-haul operation could potentially be based outside Switzerland in an EU Member State. SWISS stated the idea is a concept in an internal working paper and no decisions have been made. As part of the Lufthansa Group, SWISS and other group carriers are seeking to reduce expenses under the 'SCORE' restructuring programme.
