SWISS orders CS100 aircraft to replace RJ100 fleet

SWISS announced (07-Mar-2013) it ordered 30 Bombardier CS100 aircraft which will gradually replace its existing Avro RJ100 fleet. Twenty of the aircraft will replace the RJ100 fleet while the remaining ten will be for expansion. The airline is the first airline customer to order the new aircraft. SWISS' statement came as Bombardier unveiled its first CS100 flight test vehicle. SWISS chief technical officer Peter Wojahn said, "We offer Bombardier our warmest congratulations on achieving this project milestone. We are greatly looking forward to receiving our CS100 aircraft, and our associated preparations are all in top gear." [more - original PR] [more - original PR German]
