South Africa's Government not considering sale of SAA, will continue to provide support

South Africa's President Jacob Zuma said (07-May-2016) the Government will not sell South African Airways (SAA), as the carrier has potential to contribute to the country's economic growth. Mr Zuma said, "We are going to work hard to ensure that we support SAA," adding: "I'm pleased by the board and senior management's commitment to implement the Long-Term Turnaround Strategy to put the airline on a path of commercial sustainability."
