Shanghai Airlines revenue up 14.9% - financial highlights for the three months ended 30-Sep-2009 (according to Chinese Accounting Standard):

  • Total operating revenue: USD529.8 million, +14.9% year-on-year;
  • Total operating costs: USD557.7 million, +6.0%;
  • Operating profit (loss): (USD28.3 million), compared to a loss of USD67.4 million in the previous corresponding period;
  • Net profit (loss): (USD6.2 million), compared to a loss of USD64.0 million in the previous corresponding period;
  • Nine months ended 30-Sep-2009:
    • Passenger numbers: 9.0 million, +19.9%;
    • Passenger load factor: 73.0%, +1.9 ppt;
    • Cargo volume: 213,620 tonnes, -12.7%.
