Saudi Arabian Airlines signs contract for 58 aircraft

Saudi Arabian Airlines and Airbus have signed a contract, valued at SAR10 billion (USD2.7 billion) for the purchase of 58 aircraft, including A320s, A321s and A330s, as part of the carrier's fleet modernisation plan (Arab News, 04-Nov-2009). Saudi Arabian Airlines recently received two CFM56 powered A320s, which will be deployed on routes in the region, to Europe and India from Riyadh and Jeddah.
