San Francisco International Airport attempts to reduce delays

US' San Francisco International Airport wants to redirect more Bay Area services to Oakland and San Jose to improve visibility and reduce its high arrival-delay rate (Examiner, 07-Jul-2011). Redirecting the services will allow aircraft to land closer together in cloudy weather. Airport planners believe unless something is done, arrival delays could set an all-time high by 2017.
