Safran sold its shares in EZAir, a joint venture with Embraer, to Embraer, with the activities of Safran Cabin Brazil related to Embraer now part of Embraer, while non-Embraer related engineering services remain with Safran1. Boeing and Embraer have also recently increased their engineering presence in São José dos Campos, with Boeing opening an engineering and technology centre in the city2.
