Ryanair to handle 22 million passengers on services to Italy this year

Ryanair aims to handle 22 million passengers on services to/from Italy this year (ANSA, 26-Jan-2010). The LCC reportedly plans to launch five new routes to the country in May-2010, including three from Milan Orio al Serio, and one each from Turin and Venice Treviso to Ibiza - see Route Changes Table for more information. CEO, Michael O'Leary stated Ryanair's traffic to/from Italy rose 35% in 2009.
