Ryanair expects to ultimately succeed in acquiring Aer Lingus

Ryanair CEO, Michael O'Leary, stated the carrier would "ultimately succeed" in acquiring Aer Lingus (Reuters, 06-Sep-2009). Ryanair has failed twice in its attempt to takeover the carrier. Last month, Aer Lingus CFO, Sean Coyle, conceded he had "no idea" whether the carrier will reject a possible third bid by Ryanair to take over the carrier.
