Russian Technologies State Corporation signs firm order for 50 MC-21s

Russian Technologies Corporation, through its leasing subsidiary Aviation Capital Services, signed (17-Aug-2011) a contract with Irkut for 50 MC-21 narrowbodies and 35 options. The contract covers 35 MC-21-300 and 15 MC-21-200, within the period from 2017 to 2022. The contract stipulates that the MC-21 airliner can be equipped with two engines at the customer's choice: PD-14, from United Engines Engineering Corporation, or PW1400G from Pratt & Whitney. The aircraft will be leased to members of the Aeroflot group, including the airlines transferred to the national carrier by the Russian Technologies Corporation. [more]
