RIX Riga Airport CEO: Baltics growth strategy directly affected by geopolitics

RIX Riga Airport CEO Laila Odina, speaking at The Aviation-Event 2026 Germany, stated (03-Feb-2026) the Baltics growth strategy is 'directly impacted' by geopolitics and most especially the ongoing developments in Ukraine. Ms Odina said: "Our growth to the east is significantly restricted by the sanctions that restrict flights over Russian airspace".
