RBS to sell off aircraft leasing arm

Royal Bank of Scotland Group reportedly appointed Goldman Sachs Group to find a buyer for its RBS Aviation Capital aircraft leasing unit (Wall Street Journal, 08-Sep-2009). The unit leases more than 100 aircraft and has ownership or management of, or orders for, a total of 372 aircraft. The unit has assets of approximately USD8 billion.
