Qatar Airways receives first 787

Qatar Airways confirmed (13-Nov-2012) the receipt of its first Boeing 787. The aircraft is configured with 232 economy and 22 business class seats and is the first 787 to be fully equipped with wireless systems. Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said, "Our decision to invest in this game-changing airplane, which represents the future of air travel, reflects our firm belief in its unrivaled capabilities and the value it will add to our fleet and network expansion plans." The airline has 29 more 787s on order and plans to deploy the aircraft on routes to Dubai, London, Zurich, Frankfurt, and Delhi.
