Qantas has built a position that is unrivalled globally through Jetstar: Jetstar Group CEO

Jetstar Group CEO Jayne Hrdlicka, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, said (08-Aug-2014) Qantas’ dual-brand strategy has enabled the airline to “maintain a position in the market that is unrivalled globally” by having airlines targeting all consumer segments. Ms Hrdlicka noted that “from a shareholder standpoint, Qantas and Jetstar have been the two most profitable airlines in domestic Australia and in the first half of 2014 they were the only two to be profitable in Australia,” adding: “The dual brand strategy has been very successful.”
