Qantas redeployed A380s on the Sydney-Dallas route from 11-Aug-2025, with Boeing 787-9s operating on other days. The A380 offers significantly more first, business, and premium economy seats than the 787-9 on this route1. The airline previously stood down its A380 fleet during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the last aircraft returning to Australia in late Nov-2025 or early Dec-2025 to serve as an operational spare2.
