Port of New York and New Jersey Board approves 2010 budget and airport upgrades

Port of New York and New Jersey announced (10-Dec-2009) approval for its 2010 budget, including USD3.1 billion investment in capital projects. Highlights include advancing the New York JFK Flight Delay Reduction Program, in addition to modernising Stewart International Airport and planning for the future modernization of Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport and the Central Terminal Building at LaGuardia Airport. Replacement of LaGuardia's Central Terminal Building and Newark Liberty's Terminal A have been restricted to planning dollars, allowing these projects to advance while future funding opportunities are explored, deferring these capital projects beyond the end of the current ten-year capital plan in 2016.
