US’ Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport reported (01-Feb-2012) a 5.3% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers to 40.6 million in 2011, with the result comparable to pre-recession results of 41 million in annual passenger numbers in 2005 and a record 42 million passengers in 2007. The airport reported spring and summer as its busiest seasons in 2011 with 16 consecutive months of growth.
