Philippines DOTr issues invitation to pre-qualify and bid for unbundled regional airport projects
Philippines Department of Transportation (DOTr) invited (24-Jan-2017) interested parties to pre-qualify and bid for the development, operation and maintenance of five unbundled airport projects namely Bacolod-Silay Airport, Iloilo Airport, Davao Airport, Laguindingan Airport and New Bohol Airport. All bidders must first pass the pre-qualification stage before it can participate in the bidding process. Previously pre-qualified bidders for the bundled contract will be considered pre-qualified provided "there are no changes in their legal, technical, and/or financial capacity". All contract includes the operation and maintenance of these airports for 30 years, development work include:
- Bacolod-Silay Airport: PHP20.26 billion (USD408.51 million) contract to expand passenger terminal, expand cargo building, extend runway, construct a parallel taxiway and expand apron area, rapid exit taxiways, car parking, admin building, and other key infrastructure;
- Davao Airport: PHP40.57 billion (USD818.14 million) contract to expand passenger terminal from 65,000sqm to 125,000sqm, expand cargo building from 13,000sqm to 27,000sqm, construct full parallel taxiway, develop apron area and expand car park and administration building;
- Iloilo Airport: PHP30.40 billion (USD613.05 million) contract to expand passenger terminal, expand cargo building, construct full parallel runway and expand key facilities like car park and administration building;
- Laguindingan Airport: PHP14.62 billion (USD294.82 million) contract to expand/construct new passenger terminal along with all associated infrastructure, develop airside facilities such as apron, runway and taxiway and enhance/develop airside facilities to improve airport operations when required;
- New Bohol Airport: PHP2.34 billion (USD47.18 million) contract to provide necessary facilities and improvements to enhance passenger safety, security, access, passenger and cargo movement efficiency, operational efficiency, air traffic movement and market the airport.
