Philippines domestic passenger numbers up 15.9% in 1H2011

Philippines Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) reports the following domestic traffic highlights for the six months ended Jun-2011 (Manila Times, 08-Aug-2011):

• Domestic:
  • Passenger numbers: 9.7 million, +15.9% year-on-year;
    • Cebu Pacific: 4.3 million, +3.9%;
    • Philippine Airlines: 2.4 million, -17%;
    • AirPhil Express: 1.9 million, +176.5%;
    • Zest Airways: 1.1 million, +85.3%;
    • Southeast Asian Airlines: 97,326, -26.5%;
  • Passenger load factor: 79%, +2.0 ppts;
    • Cebu Pacific: 84%, -1.0 ppts;
  • Capacity (seats): 12.1 million, +16.8%;
  • Cargo volume: -3.4%.
