Peach reports second consecutive year of revenue and profit growth in FY2014
Peach reported (23-Jun-2015) its second consecutive year of revenue and profit growth in FY2014 ended 31-Mar-2015. Looking ahead in FY2015, CEO Shinichi Inoue said the carrier aims to achieve revenue and profit growth again by "committing ourselves to eliminating cumulative losses." FY2014 financial details include:
- Operating revenue: JPY37,141 million (USD338.0 million), +21.4% year-on-year;
- Operating profit: JPY2865 million (USD26.1 million), +42.8%;
- Net profit: JPY1068 million (USD9.7 million), +2.1%;
- Passenger numbers: 3.6 million;
- Passenger load factor: 85.9%.
Peach CEO Shinichi Inoue said (23-Jun-2015) the carrier was able to attract a new customer base, allowing the LCC to achieve an unprecedented load factor which saw the carrier achieve its second consecutive year of revenue and profit growth in FY2014 ended 31-Mar-2015. He said, "We successfully won new target groups beyond our traditional customer base.
