PAL: A321LR will allow carrier to expand regionally on routes which cannot support larger aircraft
Philippine Airlines senior financial advisor Ian Reid, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (03-Mar-2016) the A321LR will allow the carrier to expand regionally on routes which cannot support larger equipment. Mr Reid explained: "The new A321LR will get us down to Sydney, Melbourne and India which will take us to places where we don't have the traffic to fill up an A330 at present." The carrier currently has 30 A321-200neos on order, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
