OAG: Airline schedule changes show market is still in 'a state of churn'

OAG reported (15-Jun-2020) changes to published airline schedules show that the air travel market "really is in a state of churn". According to OAG, data published on the 25-May-2020 indicated around 68.5 million seats would be operated for the week commencing 15-Jun-2020. However "dramatic changes" from airlines adjusting schedules brought that back to 39.9 million, a 28.6 million (-42%) adjustment. Forward schedule data shows 80 million seats scheduled to be operated in the first full week of Jul-2020, although OAG expects schedule changes will revise this downwards to the point where "breaking 45 million seats by that point will be quite something".
