Nigerian operators dissatisfied with Hajj waiver

Nigeria's decision to grant a 65% waiver on all aviation charges payable to relevant government agencies handling Hajj operations have been criticised by stakeholders in the nation's aviation industry (All Africa, 14-Mar-2011). The directive is expected to place strain on the operations of agencies including the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and lead to an approximate USD4 million loss to the economy.
