Nigerian domestic airfares more than double in six months

Nigeria's Aviation Minister Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi reports that average domestic fares have climbed from NGN12,000 (USD79) per sector in Jan-2011 to NGN25,000 (USD165) per sector in Jul-2011 (Daily Independent, 11-Jul-2011). Aviation fuel prices in Nigeria have climbed more than 85% over the past 12 months.
