Nigerian carriers to increase fares by 20%

Nigeria's domestic carriers will raise fares by 20% due to an impending increase in the price of aviation fuel (Bloomberg, 11-Jan-2011). Airline Operators of Nigeria increased the price of aviation fuel by 10% from 10-Jan-2011. An hour flight will now cost a minimum of USD164 (NGN25,000).
