Nigeria negotiating with carrier to acquire Port Harcourt Airport: reports

Nigeria's Federal Government is reportedly negotiating with an unnamed Nigerian carrier to acquire Port Harcourt International Airport as a core investor (This Day, 19-Aug-2011). If negotiations are successful, the government will consider the request of the carrier to use the airport as its operational base. The Rivers State Government is reportedly talking with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria on how the carrier would manage a maintenance hangar, which it wants to construct.
