NewLeaf Travel CEO: Our focus is the disenfranchised traveller

NewLeaf Travel CEO Jim Young, speaking at the CAPA Americas Aviation Summit, stated (12-Apr-2016) one driver of the decision to partner with Flair Airlines was available aircraft capacity stemming from less demand for the transport of workers to Northwestern territories driven by the declining resources sector. NewLeaf was recently designated as a reseller by the Canadian government. It is the first of three new aspiring ULCCs in Canada, and Mr Young stated NewLeaf is focusing on the disenfranchised traveller.
