New Delhi Airport becomes India's busiest, overtaking Mumbai

India's Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) stated New Delhi Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport handled 869 services on 17-Aug-2011 and 872 services on 18-Aug-2011, comprised of 588 domestic, 208 international and 76 charter/cargo services (DNA, 20-Aug-2011). This means the airport has overtakken Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport as the nation's busiest airport, it said.
