Navi Mumbai Airport to be delayed by a year

India's Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) reportedly announced the construction of the proposed Navi Mumbai Airport will be delayed by a year, requiring a new study of its environmental aspects (DNA, 18-Aug-09). The study is reportedly aiming to investigate ways to neutralise the destruction of 150 acres of mangroves on the 2,000 hectare airport site.
