National Air Company Uzbekistan Airways completes restructure

Uzbekistan Airways announced (09-Nov-2019) the completion of OJSC National Air Company Uzbekistan Airways' restructure, in accordance with a presidential order. The work involved the establishment of JSC Uzbekistan Airways, and state unitary enterprises Flight complex, Main agency of air services and Uzaviatekhsnab. State unitary enterprises included in National Air Company Uzbekistan Airways were converted into limited liability companies. The restructure also covered the establishment of JSC Uzbekistan Airports which will receive ownership of the government stakes in Andizhan, Bukhara, Fergana, Karshi, Navoi, Nukus, Namangan, Samarkand, Tashkent, Termez and Urgench airports. Additionally, LLC Uzbekistan Helicopters was formed on the basis of state unitary enterprise Aircompany of Special Aviation Works and state enterprise Uzairnavigation Center transferred into the management of the Ministry of Transport.
