MLIT reveals hub plans for Haneda and Narita

Japan's Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Minister Sumio Mabuchi said: "We'd like to develop the two airports (Haneda and Narita) into a hub as a single unit," after the 16-Oct-2010 opening ceremony for Haneda's new international terminal (Mainichi Japan, 23-Oct-2010). The MLIT is also considering a new division of roles between Tokyo's two major airports, with Haneda serving as a hub for business travellers and Narita serving international tourists.
