Midway Airport receives third extension for privatisation timeline
US’ Chicago City Council received its third extension for the privatisation of Chicago Midway Airport with the council to update the Federal Aviation Administration on its new strategy by 30-Nov-2010 (Dow Jones, 30-Jul-2010). The council previously attempted to privatise the airport in early 2009 but plans fell through after the winning bidders failed to secure sufficient funding.
