Jetstar Airways previously announced it would add 330,000 seats per annum at Melbourne Avalon Airport from 2026, including a new Avalon-Bali service, resumed Avalon-Adelaide service, and increased Avalon-Brisbane frequencies, marking its largest ever expansion at the airport1. Victoria's Government also recently opened an AUD8 million freight processing facility at Avalon, increasing cargo capacity tenfold to 100,000 tonnes per annum2.
