Malaysia Airports outlines regeneration projects for Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport

Malaysia Airports (MAHB) outlined (27-Mar-2019) the following partnership agreements as part of the Subang Airport Regeneration Initiative for Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport):

  • Boustead Projects Limited:
    • JV established to focus on the development and management of an aerospace and high-tech park within the Subang Aerotech Park, providing "Build-to-Suit" solutions for customised and high grade industrial facilities to be leased to tenants in the aerospace industry;
  • TP Aerospace Malaysia (TPAM):
    • TPAM offered tenancy at the MRO Centre in Subang Airport for their office, workshop, and warehouse facility.

MAHB CEO Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin commented: "Malaysia Airports is committed to elevate Malaysia's positioning to become Asia Pacific's preferred MRO hub through concerted developments at Subang Airport and KLIA Aeropolis. Subang Aerotech Park is estimated to attract MYR1 billion (USD245 million) of investment, both locally and internationally and support over 5000 jobs including high skilled workers, within the next five years.
