Lufthansa states Asia Pacific its top growth market
Lufthansa Asia Pacific Vice President, Uwe Mueller, stated the carrier's top growth market is the Asia Pacific region, with the carrier reporting average load factors of 80% on services from the region, although yields are down approximately 10% (The Business Times, 28-Oct-2009).
Lufthansa: “No other European carrier provides the kind of connectivity to that continent from Asia and the Pacific. Through our twin hubs of Munich and Frankfurt, we connect passengers to 120 European destinations from 23 cities in Asia and the Pacific…Of course the industry is seeing very aggressive selling, and competition is stiff.
