Lima Airport Partners awards contract for second runway construction

Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications stated (20-Aug-2020) Lima Airport Partners awarded the contract for the construction of Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport's second runway to the Inti Punku consortium. The contract includes the construction of the 3480m runway and over 10km of taxiway, approach lights, beaconing system and navaid among others. Construction will commence in Sep-2020 and the runway is scheduled to complete by the end of 2022. The contract is the final contract for airport's airside expansion project, which is budgeted at USD400 million. [more - original PR]
