Jorge Chávez International Airport serves the capital of Peru, Lima, and is the country's main gateway. The airport is the hub for numerous Peruvian carriers, including LAN Peru, Avianca Peru, Peruvian Airlines, Star Peru and LC Peru. The airport has experiecned significant growth, both as a destination and as a transit point, witnessing a 274% increase in transit passengers over the past seven years. The airport has siginficant regional connections provivded by most Latin American national carriers, while American Airlines Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Air Canada provide connections with North America. Air Europa, Iberia, KLM and Air France serve the airport from Europe. The airport is operated by Lima Airport Partners (LAP).
