LAN successfully completes Boeing 787 test flight; service to resume 'in the coming days'

LAN Airlines successfully (15-May-2013) completed the first test flight of its post-modification Boeing 787s, as authorised by Chile's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC). DGAC also supervised the modification of the fleet's battery systems. LAN CEO Ignacio Cueto, "The operation of the aircraft was completely normal. We have complied with all the required modifications by DGAC and the FAA, and have implemented the modifications alongside Boeing technicians. This aircraft is one of the most modern in the world, and we are confident that it will significantly improve the flying experience of passengers that fly with LAN."
