LAN Airlines pax up 9.9%, load factor up 2 ppts in Dec-2009

LAN Airlines passenger numbers up 9.9% - traffic highlights:

  • Dec-2009:
    • Passenger numbers: 1.4 million, +9.9% year-on-year;
      • Domestic*: 856,000, +7.9%;
      • International: 518,000, +13.5%;
    • Passenger load factor: 76.7%, +1.9 ppt;
      • Domestic*: 74.9%, -1.7 ppt;
      • International: 77.5%, +3.6 ppts;
    • Cargo traffic (FTKs): +23.8%;
  • 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009:
    • Passenger numbers: 15.4 million, +16.4%;
      • Domestic*: 9.7 million, +20.9%;
      • International: 5.7 million, +9.3%;
    • Passenger load factor: 76.9%, +0.3 ppt;
      • Domestic*: 74.9%, -1.1 ppt;
      • International: 77.8%, +1.0 ppt;
    • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -9.7%. [more]

LAN Airlines: "International passenger traffic for December rose 12.8% as capacity increased 7.6%. Accordingly, the international passenger load factor for the month increased 3.6 points to 77.5%.
